A Bank Holiday has been confirmed by Downing Street for Monday 8 May 2022, to mark the King’s coronation. The coronation itself will take place on Saturday 6 May 2022, with Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister, saying:
“I look forward to seeing people come together to celebrate and pay tribute to King Charles III by taking part in local and national events across the country in his honour.”
