To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what proportion of new court orders were made by the courts and subsequently allocated to (a) community rehabilitation companies and (b) National Probation Service in England and Wales, for the most recent period for which figures are available.

In the 12 months to 31 March 2016, 89 per cent of offenders sentenced to a community order or suspended sentence order were allocated to a Community Rehabilitation Company and 11 per cent to the National Probation Service.
