BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. H. R. Spence is managing partner in a firm of woollen manufacturers and a director of other companies. He is 52 and served with the Royal Flying Corps in the 1914-18 war. In 1939 he formed and commanded 151 Squadron, Air Defence Cadet Corps, later the A.T.C., and resigned his commission as wing commander in 1945 on giving up command of the north-east area, A.T.C. He was elected for Central Aberdeenshire in 1945.
