BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. David Grenfell, born in 1881, went to work underground as a miner at the age of 12 and continued until lie was 35. He was appointed a miners’ agent in 1916, was first elected as member for Gower in 1922, and has represented the division since. He was a member of the Royal Commission on Safety in Mines in 1936, and was Secretary for Mines from 1940 to 1942.
