BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. G. Nicholls, first Conservative to fight the seat in 21 years, was born ?n 1909. Joining the special constabulary when war broke out, he became national chairman of the Auxiliary Police Association in 1943, and launched a campaign for improved conditions of service. Mr. Nicholls is a member of Eastleigh (Hants) Borough Council.
