BIOGRAPHY :

Sir Thomas Dugdale, who was first returned for the division in 1929, has served as Parliamentary private secretary to several Ministers, including the late Lord Baldwin. A past chairman of the Conservative Party, he is chairman of the Conservative Party Agricultural Committee. Born in 1897, and educated at Eton and Sandhurst, he entered the Army in 1916, serving with The Scots Greys. He was in the Yorkshire Hussars in the late war.
