BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. F. G. Bowles, returned unopposed for the constituency in 1942 and re-elected in 1945, was deputy Chairman of Committees in the last House of Commons. Born in 1902 and educated at London University, he is a solicitor. He was vice – chairman of the Parliamentary Labour Party from 1946 to 1948. He is a bachelor.
