BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. C. P. E. Bailey was born in 1923 and educated at Oakham School, Rutland. He was one of the youngest officer gunners serving with Bomber Command during the war, in which he lost the sight of one eye when attacked by a German night-fighter. During his service he took part in many big bombing raids. On his discharge he entered the iron and steel industry.
