BIOGRAPHY :
Air Cdre. A. V. Harvey, who is 43, has been M.P. since 1945. Before the war he formed the Flying Training School at Hongkong. In 1939 he commanded one of the first fighter squadrons to go to France, and later commanded a Fighter Sector in the Battle of Britain. Vice – chairman of the Conservative Party committee on civil aviation, he was also chairman of an all-party committee interested in the silk industry.
