BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. R. M. Bell sat in Parliament for a short time in 1945, winning a by-election in Newport (Mon.) in May of that year. Born in 1914 he was educated at Oxford, where ho was secretary and treasurer of the union in 1935-36 and president of the University Conservative Association in 1936, and became a barrister. He has been a member of Paddington Borough Council. He served in the R.N.V.R. in West Africa and Ceylon as a lieutenant-?ommander.
