BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. C. W. Black was born in 1902, and was educated at King’s College, Wimbledon. A chartered surveyor, he is chairman of the Temperance Permanent Building Society and associated with other companies. Serving on Wimbledon Borough Council since 1942, he was mayor in 1945-47, and became an alderman in 1949. He also sits for Wimbledon West on the Surrey County Council.
