Mr. A. G. D. Acland comes of a well-known Liberal family. His brother is Sir Richard Acland, Labour member for Graves-end. Aged 51, he went to Grenoble University and Trinity College, Cambridge, and afterwards joined the family paper-making concern, of which he is a working director. His special interest is international affairs.
