Mr. Maxwell Hynd, who is in his late fifties, is a publicity agent, and lives at Dunfermline, Fife. He has worked in Australia as a farmer and gold miner, in Argentina as an engineer, and in an industrial works in America. A Scottish Home Ruler for 30 years, he acted as his own election agent and contested the seat without the support of the local Nationalist organization.
