BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. J. R. Phillipson, born in 1890, was for 18 years a Tyneside engineer. Later he set up his own engineering business in London, worked under the Ministry of Supply during the war, and also became deputy chairman of a Bristol engineering company. He is a fellow of the Institute of Industrial Administration, and has been on the council of the Bristol Chamber of Commerce.
