BIOGRAPHY :

Lt.-Col. D. Glover, managing director of a family business of clothing distributors in Manchester, was born in 1908 and educated at Giggleswick. A subaltern in the Territorial Army when war broke out, he was commanding an infantry battalion in 1945 and, since 1947, has commanded the 9th Bn., The Manchester Regt. As a member of the council of the Wholesale Textile Association, he toured the United States and Canada in 1946 with an official delegation.
