BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. J. Greenwood, born in 1902, began work as an assistant in a library, but took up advertising and is chairman and managing director of a Fleet Street advertising firm. He is connected with many local organizations, and is the founder of the Southwark Chamber of Commerce. He unsuccessfully contested South-east Southwark in 1945, and Central Southwark at a by-election in 1948.
