BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. G. A. N. Hirst was born in Leeds in 1904 and educated at Charterhouse and St. John’s College, Cambridge. He is chairman and managing director of a Leeds firm of chemical manufacturers. He serves on 19 national and local committees, including that of the Federation of British Industries. He was in the Army during the war and on the Administrative Staff of the 21st Army Group.
