BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. A. Campbell-Johnson was political secretary to Sir Archibald Sinclair, Leader of the Liberal Opposition in Parliament, from 1937 to 1940. During the war he served on the staff of Lord Mountbatten at Combined Operations Headquarters, S.E.A.C., and rejoined his staff when he became Viceroy and Governor-General of India. He is a biographer of Mr. Anthony Eden and Lord Halifax. Aged 36, he was educated at Westminster and Oxford.
