BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. I. R. Thomas was born in 1895, and has been a colliery check-weighman since 1922. In 1928 he was elected to Rhondda Urban Council, of which he is still a member, and in 1947 was appointed a member of the South Wales Electricity Board. He has served on joint industrial councils for Wales and Monmouthshire.
