BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. C. J. Garnsworthy is an insurance agent and was born in 1906. Joining the Labour Party in 1926, he was chairman of the Divisional Labour Party in 1937 and was formerly a member of the Banstead Urban Council. He served during the war in the Royal Corps of Signals, and contested Reigate in 1945.
