BIOGRAPHY :

Air Vice-Marshal D. C. T. Bennett is an Australian and was born in 1910. He was the creator and A.O.C. of Bomber Command’s Pathfinder Force. On leaving the R.A.F. in 1945 he became chief executive officer of British South American Airways, resigning in February, 1948, after differences on matters of policy. He is chairman of the executive committee of the United Nations Association in Great Britain. He represented Middlesbrough West from May to July, 1945.
