BIOGRAPHY :

Capt. R. Stanley is grandson of the late Earl of Derby, brother of the present earl, and son of the late Lord Stanley who sat for the Fylde division from 1922 to 1938. Aged 29, he was educated at Eton and after service in the war joined the staff of the Conservative Central office. He is chairman of Lancashire and Cheshire Federation of Boys’ Clubs and president of the Royal Lancashire Show.
