Mr. L. R. Carr, who is 33, went to Cambridge. He is a director of research and development for a London firm of aluminium castings and metal plastics makers. He is a member of the executive and mechanical committees of the Light Metal Appliances Association, and of the Buildings Applications Committee of the Aluminium Development Association. He is a former chairman of the Barnet Young Conservatives.
