Mr. W. W. Gilmour is 45 and a native of Lanarkshire. A member of Peebles Town Council, to which he was elected in 1937, he was at one time a mining surveyor. In the 1945 General Election he was organizer for the Co-operative Party candidates in Dumfriesshire.
