Mr. R. J. Hurst, a bachelor, aged 43, is a native of Farnworth (Lanes) and an insurance broker in Manchester and London. He was a Labour member of Salford City Council, 1934-41, and has been engaged by the R.A.F. as a lecturer in the Middle East.
