BIOGRAPHY :

Maj. E. A. H. Legge-Bourke, a Regular officer educated at Eton and Sandhurst, served through the war and was released in 1945 when he won this constituency from the Liberal member, Mr. James de Rothschild. He has served on several Parliamentary committees and is interested in land drainage, being vice-president of the Association of Drainage Authorities.
