BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. T. Sargant, born in 1905 and a manager of a firm of non-ferrous metal merchants, was a Liberal until 1931 and contested a North Portsmouth by-election in 1943 and the East Hants division in 1945 as a Commonwealth candidate. He joined the Labour Party in 1945, and later was vice-chairman of the Hampstead Labour Party.
