BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. G. R. H. Nugent, a poultry farmer, was born in 1907 and began life as a soldier in the Royal Artillery after attending the Royal Military Academy. He took up farming at Churt in 1928, moving to Dunsfold in 1935. Since 1942 he has been a member of the Surrey County Council, and is one of the four members of the Agricultural Improvements Council of Great Britain, an advisory body to the Ministry of Agriculture. He was chairman of the Guildford Division Conservative Association, 1945-47, and is a member of the Party’s S.E. Area Provincial Council.
