BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. M. S. McCorquodale is 48, and was educated at Harrow and Christ Church, Oxford, where he took his degree in natural science. He is chairman of various printing companies. From 1931 to 1945 he was M.P. for the Sowerby division of Yorkshire and from 1942 to 1945 was Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Labour. In 1939 he was Parliamentary private secretary to the President of the Board of Trade. He returned to Parliament in 1947 as member for Epsom when his majority was 16,294. He served in the R.A.F. at the beginning of the last war.
