BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. G. C. Touche was born in 1895, and educated at Marlborough and University College, Oxford, of which he is a B.A. He is a barrister, author of two law books, and director of several city investment trusts. He has been M.P. for the old Reigate division since 1931, and in the last Parliament was on the panel of Standing Committee chairmen. Before 1931 he had unsuccessfully contested Ashton-under-Lyne and North Islington, of which his father, the late Sir George Touche, was M.P. from 1910 to 1918.
