BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. G. Francis was born at Woodford, Essex, in 1893. After serving in the ranks in the 1914-18 war, he became a retail and wholesale newsagent at Carshalton, where he lives and?controls a business. He was elected to Carshalton Urban Council in 1939, and was chairman in 1944-46. He is president of the Carshalton Municipal Ratepayers’ Association and chairman of the Carshalton National Savings Committee.
