BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. J. E. Glanville has represented Consett since 1943. Born in 1891, he received an elementary education and worked in the mines. He was president of a miners’ lodge for 25 years, and a member of the executive of Durham Miners’ Association. He joined the Labour Party in 1906, and lives at Stanley, Co. Durham.
