Mr. G. E. Samways was born in Handforth in 1910 and has lived in the Cheadle locality all his life. He has been a member of the Cheadle and Gatley Council. Managing director of a firm of radio and electrical engineers, he lectured to the R.A.F. during the war on radar and allied subjects.
