BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. Hamilton Kerr was member for Oldham in the 1931-45 Parliaments, and served as Under-Secretary for Air, 1942-45, and Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health in the “caretaker” Government. Born in 1903 and educated at Eton and Balliol College, Oxford, he worked as a journalist in Fleet Street for three years before entering Parliament. He delegate to The Hague Conference in 1949.
