BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. A. MacArthur resigned his charge and status as a minister of the Church of Scotland to fight the election. Aged 31, he went to Tobermory Higher Grade and Oban High Schools and to Glasgow University. He is a former secretary and president of the University Labour Club and has been active in the Party in Glasgow. He is a native Gaelic speaker.
