BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. D. M. Cowley, a 30-year-old barrister, served during the war as a flight lieutenant. He was a prisoner of war from 1941 to 1944, when he escaped. He was born in Belfast, and educated at Radley and Exeter College, Oxford. His father, also a Liberal, is a deemster in the Isle of Man.
