BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. D. Williams, who is 41, received his education at Plymouth College and the R.A.F. College, Cranwell? He was gazetted pilot officer in 1928, and in 1936 founded a company to develop the Whittle system. In 1941 he was appointed managing director of this concern, and three years later became a director of Power Jets (Research and Development) Limited, a Government-sponsored body. He is a companion of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a member of the Society of British Aircraft Constructors.
