BIOGRAPHY :
Mr. W. Nally, a journalist, born in 1914, served as a war correspondent in north-west Europe, after having been discharged from the R.A. as medically unfit. At the age of 17 he was appointed leader of the Labour Youth movement in Manchester. He won Bilston in 1945 and became Parliamentary private secretary to the Minister of Town and Country Planning and secretary of the Parliamentary Labour Party’s Common Wealth Group.
