BIOGRAPHY :

Maj. D. McCallum, born in 1888, entered the Army as a career and served throughout the 1914-18 war. Later he served in Syria, and was attached to the British Legation at Peking and Sofia and to the Embassy in Cairo. In the last war he served on General Wavell’s staff at G.H.Q., Middle East, Cairo. He is interested in farming and in raising pedigree Highland cattle. He has been a member for Argyll since 1940.
