BIOGRAPHY :

Mrs. M. S. MacP. Holt was born in Madras where her father was principal of Madras College, and first elected-vice-chancellor of Madras University. She worked during the first world war in an aircraft factory, and volunteered to nurse Serbian soldiers in Corsica. She spent a considerable period in Ihe Middle East, and was in Spain when the Civil War broke out.
