BIOGRAPHY :

Mr. Hector Hughes, K.C., had twice unsuccessfully contested North-West Camberwell before becoming M.P. for this division in 1945. Born in 1887, he was called to the Bar in 1923 and took silk in 1932. He has served on the se!e;t committees on Publ?c Accounts, Estimates, Elections and Statutory Rules and Orders.
